The Marine Science Center in Ponce Inlet, Fl. required updates and additions to its existing facility. This multi-phase update was completed as several separate projects which included a new Education Building Addition with interior renovations to the Gift Shop and Sales Area, construction of a New Canopy System over the existing Turtle Tank, and a New Aquarium Quarantine Deck.
Design considerations included demolition of existing structures and new construction while continuing facility operations without interruption, proper materials and methods for Coastal Environments, and adaptation and integration of new additions and systems into existing Science Center operational guidelines.
